I’m an award-winning writer and editor based in Madison, Wisconsin. My work has appeared in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Wisconsin State Journal and other newspapers throughout Wisconsin, and I’ve written for San Francisco magazine, Madison Magazine, 77 Square, Isthmus and Wisconsin Public Television. I earned an M.A. in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.F.A. in fiction from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
I specialize in investigative reporting as well as food, cocktail and culture writing. Previously I interned as a reporter at the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, worked as a writer and editor for online media and software companies, and taught writing at the University of Iowa.
